Tell us a little bit about your work in REALITY BEACH.

Well, the DATACLYSM.jpg poems are culled from a lot of random language from my journals as well as some wording from advertising spam emails I’ve gotten. Little bite-sized chunks of glut.

What is your typical writing process?

I read a lot of poetry and write words down that I like, then type everything up in a Word Doc, then rearrange the words into my own poems. That’s mostly how I write. Sometimes, I set out to write about a specific event or with a certain theme in mind, but that’s a rarity.

What have you conquered recently?

I’m working hard to conquer anxiety and depression that I’ve been experiencing after a manic episode. I haven’t totally conquered it yet, but I’m reminding myself that it can be defeated.
