How do you take your coffee?
No coffee for me. As someone raised Mormon there was no caffeine anywhere around! In the slow opening to my own preferences I go with tea: all kinds but especially black tea. Agave and light splash of cream. I drink slowly (like whiskey) until my teeth, organs feel coated.
Tell us a little about the experience of making the work you have featured in REALITY BEACH.
The collaboration with Juliet Cook is very fun for me. Longtime collabs end up creating a trust field. I lean into that field. Juliet and I combine in spark-y ways. We have different styles but I feel generally the same dead bird having fallen from the nest would have a similar impact on us. I imagine even if I did not know her she and I could kneel together right there and take care of the bird in our own weird, collaborative way.
Tell us about the poems you’ve been writing.
I don’t know if I write poems. I know I gesture and I am mid-gesture on creation of a genre that will take me through the remainder of this life. Ceremonial gore meets page divination meets chiromancy as cadence-creation of the Beloved in form (a reason to hold hands). It can be intense to know you have found your cave and you are going to live in it the remainder of your time.

What’s the last thing you burned?
My hair in a ritual for Crone.
Where is your beach?
In the Mythic Women’s Waters of the West most easily accessed (by me) during doing Amrita-visualizations and mediations with the mysterious and unforeseen faces of the moon.
What’s the best line on the fifth page of the poetry book closest to you?
No poetry books right here. There is an intense Black Tourmaline though. It is larger than my pelvic bone and sitting between my legs.
What is your favorite dance move? Please Describe.
I also like grinds:
Hold belly as tight as possible (it’s not in your back!) and move arms rapidly–rubber-band like in front of heart chakra. Let pelvic region drive.
What’s the ebb reveal?
Desperate need for ebb.
