What is your beverage of choice?
Water. I haven’t been drinking enough water lately but it’s really the only thing worth drinking, unless you’re into smoothies, which I’m not.
Tell us a little bit about your work in REALITY BEACH.
Both of the poems published in Issue Two are from my full length, Extinction, which is dropping in December from Sad Spell Press.
What is your typical writing process?
I record lines in my notepad whenever they come to me and eventually go into Microsoft Word and start working on a poem. I draft poems by emailing the document to myself, viewing the document in Gmail, and revising continuously in Word. When I think the poem is complete, I send it to someone (usually Ctch Bsnss or Shy Watson) to review.
If you had a talk show, what would the name be?
I don’t want to have a talk show but I do want to try doing a podcast, eventually. I don’t know what I would call it. I would probably pick a line or image from a poem I like and use that as the title.
Do you have any home remedies for loneliness?
No. If anyone has any suggestions please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
What have you conquered recently?
Nothing. I’m sorry for not having an answer, but my summer so far has been weird and dreadful.
Where can we buy more of your work (if applicable)?
What motivates you?
I feel motivated by pieces of art that are visually or sonically striking. There might be a single moment or fragment from a work that I become obsessed with. I was really preoccupied with Vic Mensa’s verse on “Wolves” for a long time.
Any upcoming projects?
I’m looking to start work soon on a little zine, which is still top secret. Other than that, Extinction on December 12.
